Motorola introduced the Droid X

Motorola has introduced a smartphone Droid X-based operating system Android 2.1. The device goes on sale July 15 and will operate in a network of U.S. mobile operator Verizon

The smartphone has a processor with a clock frequency of 1 gigahertz, as well as Google Nexus One. Droid X has 8 gigabytes of internal memory and  supports memory cards up to 32 gigabytes

The device is equipped with a 4.3-inch capacitive screen with a resolution 854 by 480 pixels. It will have 8-megapixel camera with video recording high-definition 720p. Smartphone supports the HDMI port for connecting an external display, like smartphone Nokia N8.

The unit will be running on the Android 2.1 with interface MotoBlur established over it. However, until the end of summer, users will be given the opportunity to upgrade the OS to Android 2.2 Froyo. 

Users will be able to use the Droid X to distribute wireless mobile Internet services on wireless networks Wi-Fi. At the same time up to five devices can connect to the smartphone . 

The cost of a smartphone in the U.S. of $ 199 includes discount of $ 100. Start date sales and cost Droid X outside the U.S. are not announced.
