Motorola will introduce a new Droid on June 23

Motorola will introduce the next generation smartphone Droid on 23 June, Engadget said. Smartphones based on Android will be announced the day before the iPhone 4 sales. At the moment we know that Motorola is developing two models - Droid 2 and Droid X. This can be represented as one of these models, and at once both.

The press conference will be attended by the heads of Motorola and the mobile operator Verizon Wireless, as well as one of the vice-president of Google Andy Rubin, head of Adobe Shantanu Narayen. Attendance at the event Narayen may mean that the new Droid, is likely to support technology companies, including Flash.

Also, Engadget published an overview of the smartphone Droid X. Smartphone will be equipped with a screen with a diagonal of 4.4 inches and a resolution of 854 by 480 pixels. Also Droid X has 8 mpx camera with video recording high-definition format 720p.

The smartphone will run on Android 2.1-based operating system with the new  Motorola interface on the top. He has ARM-processor with a clock frequency of 1 Ghz and 8 gigabytes of internal memory.

Date of smartphone sales are still unknown. At the same time, the first model Droid Motorola announced in late October 2009. In the sale in the U.S. it did in November.
