According to Media reports, Verizon is partnering with Google to release an Android powered tablet. Now this is not the first time we are hearing a company planning to launch Android tablet or partnering with Google. We all have seen demos right from Notion Ink’s Adam featuring Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor at CES to Web 2.0 conference where Adobe showed Flash 10.1 running on tablet. We have seen pictures of Dell Streak and raved about it.
Now, many people will ignore it saying they don’t need one as they did to Apple’s Ipad. Many would prefer to wait and watch. But, Apple’s Ipad sales of more than one million units clearly tell us that there is a big market waiting for such product if it is good and marketed well. We will not go into debating which one is better. After all that noise, I thought it was about time to go ahead and buy one of those cool Android notepad or tablet or just a pad. But none of those big names have actually released a product that you can go out and buy. That led me to hunt for best Android tablets that one can at least order today and expect it to deliver soon.
Being curious, I started a search on all available pads out in the market and found many that I was not aware. The list comprises of Moonse E-7001, Enso Zen pad, Archos 7 home tablet and Camangi web station. Let us compare and find out best one avai
lable for buying.
Enso Zen pad

Enso Zen pad: Enso is a Hongkong based startup building exciting consumer electronic products. It has neat website unlike any other Chinese vendor. The Zen pad is tablet spotting 5-inch touch-screen LCD with 800x480 resolution running Android 1.6 on it. It features a Samsung 533 MHz arm processor underneath with 256 Ram, 1 GB on board storage and 8 GB on SD card. It has onboard Wi-Fi with optional USB dongle for GPS and separate dongle for Telephone connectivity. The good part is it comes with Google market on board to download apps. This is a big difference between Zen pad and other tablets out there in market. With this one does not have to depend on Apps provided by device vendor and can go and install any market app. With $155 stock price and $240 all loaded including worldwide shipping, it will give good competition to all Android pads.

Archos 7 Home tablet: Archos is old and reliable brand for b
uyers of portable media players. This $200 tablet from Archos is already available for pre order from Amazon with delivery starting 17th May. It features a 7 inch LCD with 800x480 display and Wi-Fi, 8 GB storage on-board. It has its own App store to buy custom Android app for device. This is a safest bet when it comes to reliable product in Android pad category. We have already covered it in details here.

Camangi Web Station: It is a 7 inch Android tablet featuring similar resolution of 800x480, Wi-Fi, GPS and USB dongle for 3G telephony supports. Under the hood is a Marvel processor and poor 128 MB of system memory. Now interestingly it features its own Camangi market to buy Android apps just like Archos. We know Archos invited many app developers to feature apps on its market but Camangi has not taken that effort. The Camangi market features handful of 15 free Android app downloaded from net.
Moonse E-7001

Moonse E-7001: This is again a stock Chinese vendor without much information on net. The hardware is straight rip off of Apple Ipad. It has got 7 inch touch-screen display running Android 1.5 featuring 1.3 mega pixel camera and 3G HSDPA modem. It se
lls for $199 at here, but be sure before going ahead with that buy.
After comparing above features I put my bet on Enso Zen pad. Archos is old horse which has reputation of solid media gadgets. But as far as Android is concerned I think Enso Zen pad will give best user experience.

I would like to know which one would be your favorite Android pad. Do let me know if I am missing any device worth checking out.
