Sprint HTC EVO, the world’s first 3G/4G android device will be ready for pre-ordering by the end of this month, says the leaked internal Radio Shack advert.
The press release on March 23rd by HTC and Sprint had announced about the summer availability of the device. As it seems from the advert, it would be probably released before the much-awaited iPhone 4G. While Apple is supposed to announce its 4G iPhone in the beginning of June, it is pretty clear that they’ve got a competitor ahead of its release.
HTC and Sprint are trying to make EVO 4G, what they call “a device beyond compare”. They promise best features available on handheld devices, which include:
- 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which “ensures a smooth and quick user experience.”;
- 4.3 inch touchscreen(800x480);
- WiMAX connectivity;
- Web browser-with flash support- customized to take the full advantage of large display and 4G;
- Dual cameras- forward facing 1.3 MP and rear-facing 8.0 MP with 720p HD video capture;
- HDMI output;
- 3G/4G mobile hotspot capability;
Along with these features, the Android platform gives the best experience of using Smartphones. EVO 4G patronizes Android 2.1, which includes Google Goggles, which helps searching from the images taken on the camera. There is also a built-in voice-to-text technology, making it easier to text. But these are just a few to pick when it comes to thousands of the apps provided by Android market.
With no more details available on the advert, we are told to keep our fingers crossed, as EVO may be available to us any time soon. Maybe iPhone will get kicked if it hasn’t got something better.
